Hey! Just what are these "flower cottages" anyway?

The view from Shore Road

The view from the beach

Days' Cottages are located midway between North Truro and Provincetown on Shore Road (Route 6A), where you can enjoy your stay on Cape Cod with the many comforts of home: whether it be a couple days, a week, or longer. They are easily reached via US Route 6 by following the signs to "[6A] Shore Rd", and following Shore Road north for 2.5 miles. These historic cottages provide the vacationer with a beautiful view of Cape Cod as you relax in your living room.

Memories of the past live on in every cottage

Though only ten minutes by car to the center of Provincetown, with its gift shops, fishing fleet, art galleries, and other night spots, and only five minutes to the Cape Cod National Seashore park, the location of the cottages provides a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere. There is a private beach for each cottage enabling you to take a refreshing swim in the warm bay waters which are just a few steps from your door. There is also a boat-launching ramp if you plan to do some boating during your stay...however, for the safety of all our customers, personal watercraft (Jet-Skis) are not allowed.

Close neighbors and strong community

The cottages are quite spacious and are all exactly alike. There is a living room with a Comcast cable TV connector, wi-fi, a comfortable cot, and ten windows, of which five overlook the bay; two bedrooms each with a double bed fitted with inner-spring mattresses; a kitchen fully equipped for cooking with a gas stove, refrigerator, and continuous hot water; and a bathroom with shower. The cottages are well-planned so that housekeeping work is kept to a minimum and are gas-heated, controlled by thermostat.

Also furnished with each cottage is bed linen, dinnerware with cutlery, gas, and electric lights. As an added convenience, cribs, extra cots, and additional linen for the living room cot may be obtained for a reasonable charge.

Not just one...

but two bedrooms!

Our season opens the weekend of or before May 1 and continues through the weekend after Columbus Day.

Any cottage may be reserved for a week or longer simply by making a deposit of $200.00 in USA funds; said deposit will hold the cottage until 9am after the first day of the reservation. Days' Cottages accepts payment in cash, check, or money order. No credit cards will be honored.

Starting with these nine cottages pictured above in 1931, our group has now expanded to twenty-three cottages, all exactly alike. It is gratifying to us that a large part of our business comes from guests who return year after year, making their reservations well in advance. Such repeat guests often find themselves becoming fast friends with cottage neighbors, as well as with members of our cordial family and staff.

Due to the popularity of this type of accommodation and of Cape Cod as a vacation land, we are filled to capacity most of the time during the height of the season. To be certain that there will be a cottage available for you, we suggest that you make an advance reservation.
